ERGONOMIC JOB ANALYSIS:

The evaluator conducts an in-depth analysis of specific tasks/jobs focusing on ergonomic issues. Critical functional demands of the job are identified and specifically defined. Job components with high risk for cumulative trauma are identified and recommendations are made for job modifications to promote safe job performance. All data and recommendations are presented in comprehensive report format.

This service is commonly requested by companies seeking to reduce injury rates and related costs. It can also be used in design/redesign applications, and for safe return of an injured employee to work.

RE-INJURY PREVENTION TRAINING:

This is a four session course including body mechanics, positioning, posture, stress management, relaxation techniques and video tape training for daily activities. Re-injury Prevention Training is an integral part of the Work Injury Management Program and is included in the treatment plan, as appropriate when indicated.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL AGILITY TESTING:

Does a prospective employee possess the necessary functional capabilities to preform the demands of the desired job? Workers Choice Health Services therapists can assist in hiring the right employees for safe job performance through the administration of preplacement work screenings. Through comprehensive job analysis, therapists assist in the determination of the essential functions of each job and design short evaluations to assess an applicant's ability to meet these demands. Tests can be conducted at a Workers Choice Health Services clinic or on-site at the place of employment. Reports are furnished to employers. Tests comply with the guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
