

Tim Betz is the founder of Workers Choice Health Services, Inc. Since its inception in 1994 the company has specialized in managed care of workers compensation and occupational health. Along with 15 contributors, he has developed a comprehensive copyright pending model for delivering occupational health and workers comp services to employers and employees.
Prior to his founding Workers Choice Health Services, he spent 9 years as a Nurse Practitioner rendering all types of services to workers, including injury and illness care, pre-placement and interim physicals and health appraisals.
After completing his masters degree, he formed the department of Occupational Health, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Holzer Clinic in Gallipolis, Ohio. During his 10-year administration, the department expanded to a 4 facility, multi-million dollar operation in 2 states. Both he and his staff were extensively involved with service delivery to employers on a primary, secondary and tertiary prevention basis.
Over the past 5 years, Tim and his staff have been involved with several organizations including, U.S. HealthWorks, a national occupational medicine company; Chart Rehab of Cincinnati, the Franciscan Health System of Cincinnati and Deaconess Hospital also of Cincinnati. In collaboration with these organizations, he has developed sophisticated occupational health products and services, in addition to forming integrated delivery systems for managed care workers compensation.
Beyond his to 2 degrees in Nursing, he has completed advanced practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner at The Ohio State University. Studies beyond his masters degree in Exercise Physiology include education in Health Services Administration at Ohio University.
Workers Choice Health Services has been involved with a number of related professional associations including the Ohio Hospital Associations Society of Occupational Health Professionals of which he is a past board member.
He is also a former member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the Workers Comp Advisor and was a faculty member and presenter during the 1995 National Association of Occupational Health Professionals (NAOHP) Ryan Associates National Conference.
